PUNCTUATIONS AND CAPITALS

Lesson 1

Capitals and Punctuation

  • a mark, such as a full stop, comma, or question mark, used in writing to separate sentences and their elements and to clarify meaning.
  • Punctuation marks help sentences to assert their meanings clearly, thus making it easier for the reader to grasp the intended meaning of the writer.
  • It gives the sentence some breath of life, and accentuates the pauses and emphasis with which the writer points his meaning.
We are going to look at different type of punctuations
  • Full stop ( .)
  • Comma (,)
  • Question mark (?)
  • Exclamation mark (!)
  • Capital letter   (A)
